Operational e-learning platform
Fully operational e-learning platform for high school and university teachers. We took over the project from a supplier who couldn't handle its development and moved it all the way from an unresponsive knowledge repository to an extensive, user-friendly e-learning platform.
About the service
A new UX-optimized interface with multiple functionalities was added during the year-long process, and the entire platform was moved to a new cloud environment. The Speednet team suggested some extra features allowing the platform owner to use it as a marketing tool. The completed project received a State of California certificate, allowing us to offer its digital services in all education centres in the state.
Carolina Biological Supply provides science and math educational materials in the United States. In 2015, CBS launched the e-learning platform CarolinaScienceOnline.com to expand its digital products portfolio. Market research revealed significant usability problems and issues with UX/usage among teachers and health specialists.
When the platform’s original developer could not deal with the issues, Speednet was hired to simplify the platform and reconstruct its DNA to overwork the users’ feedback and make further expansion possible. The challenge was transforming a static knowledge repository into an intuitive and user-friendly e-learning platform while keeping the whole system running.

Working simultaneously in Poland and the US, remotely and on-site, the 14 members of our team had to remain highly flexible during the whole process. Frequent intercontinental travel, regular feedback sessions and two-week-sprints made for very tight conditions for our interdisciplinary team.
